Binary packages

Some Linux/UNIX OS vendors have kindly provided binary packages of KDE SC 4.5.90 for some versions of their distribution, and in other cases community volunteers have done so.

Currently pre-compiled packages are available for:

FreeBSD KDE 4.5.90 ports are available in area51. Please check the KDE on FreeBSD website for more information on how to use ports from area51.
Gentoo Linux provides KDE SC 4.5.90 packages in kde overlay.

Kubuntu packages are available for 10.10. More details can be found in the announcement on Kubuntu.org.
openSUSE packages are available for openSUSE 11.3 (one-click install), for openSUSE 11.2 (one-click install), and openSUSE Factory (one-click install). A KDE Four Live CD with these packages is also available.
Solaris KDE 4.5.90 packages for Solaris 11 Express and OpenIndiana are available from the repository of the kde-solaris project. See also the announcement.
